I can get my 17 foot basstracker panfish model in with some maneuvering down the ramp and 4 wheel drive on my truck. The guy charges $5 to fish. My brother and I got a mess of 12 inchers this past Sunday in about 2 hrs time.
He made this post, PM him no response.

Does anybody know where he is talking about. Am from FortWayne, trying to locate this honey hole.

I responded, at least I thought I did, on the thread "northeast crappie fishing".

If it's not there or you can't find it let me know.

    Thumbs up Good Spot

The Lake is called Nauvoo Lake. Go to Kendallville. Go to the intersection of St Rd 3 and St Rd 6 and go north. There will be a shopping center on your left. Immediately past the shopping center is a road (CR 550 E I think). Go left on that rd. Stay on this road. Past CR 1150 N but before CR 700 S there is a farm house on the left with a dirt lane just to the north of the property. There is a faded wooden sign that says Nauvoo Lake. You can barely make out the words.
Take this lane to the lake. Near the top of the launch is a can to put $5 in on the honor system. Fish the other side of the lake straight across from the launch. As you cross the lake, there will be a small island, keep south of that. Keep going until about 25 yards from shore. There is a sunken island, probably some lily pads there by now. That's where I usually find them. The lake is small and launching anything other than a jon boat or other small boat is tough to impossible.

We get a lot of crappies there in the spring. Last weekend we killed on the big ones. I've heard there are nice gills there too.

Get a copy of Uncle Larry's Map of NE Indiana Lakes. It's on there.

    Good luck.

This sounds like down south where you can get white lightening, wonder if the going rate is the same?
