    Default knot question

What kind of knot must one tie to attach a smaller line to a larger one??
    Something like a Sabiki rig with 20 # main line and a 12 # dropper.--shu

I believe you would want to use the blood knot. There are illustrations online.

    I like the Uni-to-Uni. I use it for Braid-Mono. www.powerpro.com/using/uniuni.asp

Yep, uni-to uni (double uni) is the one I would use too... except for fly line to leader, then I would use the nail knot or albright knot. Blood knot might work, bu it's better suited for tying line that's the same size.

    Tied a few knots.
Blood Knot=smaller line broke on the 'pull' test(will try another one)
Uni-uni=hardest to tie but worked well.
Surgeon's knot(triple)=easy to tie and held the best.
Will try the Nail knot(have a nail knotter).
Thanks knots are always an education and the remembering is the hardest part.--shu
