Yes, the "Slip Hub" can be replaced but you'll need to take it to a prop repair shop unless you have the right tools. I think it has to be pressed in. It should be a lot cheaper than a new prop.
I have a 50 hp Johnson 1996. As far as I know it has the same prop that came out with it. It`s 11 3/4X17 Aluminum. Now my question is the rubber bushing that`s inside of prop where your spline shaft fits on is slipping I think? As soon as you take off the motor wines out (Like pushing in a clutch then it gradual takes off). Can I replace the rubber bushing or do I need new prop. Prop is in real nice shape. Thanks
