Default New Jig for me, anyone seen these before?

A guide friend had me make some of these for him and he told me some guys from LA. or Miss. not sure which now. Anyway they told him they can't get them over there as the stores can't keep them in stock.

So I guess my questions is have any of you used a jig like this? If so how did it do?

He mentioned that the only problem is this chenille is not as durable as regular chenille and ends up not lasting as many fish as other jigs I make would.

I really need to know more and will try them my self in a larger size tomorrow, but would love some feed back on these.

I couldn't figure out why the red thread was set back off the head like that and didn't come all the way back. But It's tied just like the originals so I guess we shall see. I tied some for my self and just mad the red solid to the head.

Oh and the original one used a minnow style head if that helps any.

Slaters makes a jig like that called the Cajun special, but it does not have a minnow head. I have caught a lot of fish on them.

I like it, it don't look like it would last long. I just can't seem to get those jigs with all the glitter stuff to last.
