Vacum pack is a very good method. Pre-freeze them on a cookie sheet, lay flat and pack. Had salmon the other night that I caught three years ago, not as good as fresh but still good after vacum freezing. I used to freeze them in water,it works but need to use before a year.

vacuum packing does work well. I like to lay the fish on paper towels to take some of the water out of the fillets before vacuum packing.
Caught so many fish today my thumb is sore from clicking the counter.

Put them in a freezer bag, and freeze them in water. It will last up to a year.

I always do the water and bag trick myself and like to eat them within a year.

thanks for the ideas. i don't want to waste any fish by not freezing them correctly. i've never tried vaccuum packing before. not sure what that is. i'll try to search online for details. thanks again for responses.
