I have a 50 and LOVE IT!!!!!!! great on gas, super quite and always starts. no adding oil to the gas. I dont think you will be sorry you have a Honda.
I ran a 50 for about nine years, loved it. No problems whatsoever,
and I put a ton of hours on it trolling.
Only slight negative is some parts of the country the dealers are few
and far between - but then again, you're not likely to need them
except maybe to buy oil filters

my duck hunting partner has a 25 hp honda 2000 model year. we use it 3 or 4 times a year in duck season. it has never had anything done to it. it starts on the 2nd or 3 rd pull everytime. hasnt failed us ever. it always runs great and is so quiet you can talk and not even know its on. its probably the best outboard i have ever been around. i think you will love one.
i fish with a guy who has a honda 40 hp four stroke. i love it. i wish i had it on my boat instead of my 25 hp mercury. i doubt very seriously that you'll regret buying the motor
What everyone else says............ Once a guy i know started his motor up while it was already running.... Those things are sure quiet....

thanks for the info. They are very sharp motor. I will be putting it on a war eagle 1648 with the lower front deck.
The thing thats makes them attractive is the 5yrs warranty and 5.9% finacing.
Theres a lot of guys that use them below Pickwick dam. And they idle hours per day 5 days per year. And 10 years later all they have ever done to them. Is change the oil and plugs.

I'm not much of a Honda anything fan but they seem pretty quiet to me and have caught my eyes and ears plenty of times.
