Need some advice

Guys I need some advice. I just bought a Minn Kota Power drive and I can not figure out how to mount my transducer. I never thought about that when I was buy it. I like the motor but I am not going to like having to mount a tranducer in the back of the boat. I would appriciate any advice maybe a picture to show me or anything.

You can purchase an adapter so you can mount the transducer on your trolling motor. Most major outdoor sports stores have them.

Before we give some answers here. Is yours Minn Kota a PowerDrive V2? Also does it have the Universal Sonar? If it's the Universal Sonar model, the lower unit has the high-frequency built-in transducer. You just need to buy the plug-in adapter to connect to the fish finder.

It also depends on what fish finder you have on the boat. Is your transducer shaped like a hockey puck, or sorta flat/round? Gi e us some more information on what you have on the front deck.

This is not the V2 and it does not have the built in Transducer. I have a transducer mount for a trolling motor. The problem I have though is what to do with the wire. On my old trolling motor I could run the wire up the shaft. But with this power drive the shaft slides threw the drive system.

Is this the type of Minn Kota you have? If so, I will help you install the transducer cable.
