what a way to start, good pics.
Well my little one got Straight A's this semester so Mommy let him take a day off to do whatever he wanted. Even though I just learned how to shoot docks, he wanted to learn. So today he was in "School" on the water with me and his grandad. He picked it up quick. Here is a picture of his first fish, and the 2 biggest ones(almost 14").
what a way to start, good pics.
Maybe I need to take some lessons from him. Forget school...let him follow grandpa around a little, and I would pay him to guide me to the spots...GOOD CATCH!
Caught these down south on Lake Oconee in Georgia shootin docks a couple weekends ago on some homemade jigs. Shootin docks is about as good as crappie fishin gets!

Good for your boy! Congrats on the straight A's. Congrats on the nice slabs!
Good Deal... How long of poles do yall use for shootin?
Congrats MDcrappie's son lol
Dang ykkap....them GA crappie come with money too?
ykkap - that's a mess of fish there. He tried to shoot a jig but the Bass Assassin goes about 3 times as far. It really skips across the water nice with that wide body.
Smack Em - We use 5'6" rods for shootin'. I have a Wally Mashall and a BPS Extreme both are 5'6" Light action. My son uses a Bill Dance rod also 5'6" that came with his Zebco Underspin.
lol, we grow em right down here Treed!
I use 5' UL shakespeare rods with shimano spirex reels.
