    Default Should have stayed home

Went to Maple Leaf CA sat and WOW, the conditions were horrible. We didn't even get a bite. Did get to use my new bait pump though and it works like a charm. I would recommend it to anyone. I am ready for the fishing to pick up

I just want to go fishing, but with this weather I might have to take up making reel covers too.

I talked to a Agent at Maple leaf when we were there and he didn't say anything about the bass kill but, he said that there wasn't a whole lot of crappie in the lake Has anyone heard this.

I have to agree with Jeffie on this one, Miller. Screen of my Eagle was covered with crappie last time we were there and couldn't get them to bite. 5 of us fished from 2 boats and caught 1 crappie in about 5 hours. Was very humbling. I say ML has a very healthy population of crappie in it.
