    Default Pomme Tournament 4/12/08

You guys won't believe this: Crappie Slayers Tournament Series today on Pomme, terrible conditions yet seven boats were crazy enough to fish. Here's what happened:

    water 18' high

    cold front

    sleet

    25 mph wind

    2-3 whitecaps

One boat completely filled his boat to the top with water at the ramp (or road to the ramp). His bilge couldn't even come close to keeping up. Thankfully several guys jumped in to help and we got his boat back on the trailer!

The best part: Winning weight - 0, zip, nada, nothing, zelch!!!!!!

Never seen anything so crazy in my life. One nine inch, six ounce crappie would have won 1st, 2nd, 3rd and big fish.

Crappie don't sleep, is that why I'm so tired?

Nope- We're renting a cabin at Stillwater resort for the week. I might be up for camping now and again, but others in my group aren't the roughing it type. First time the rest of my group have been on the lake, so a change in scenery should be nice.

Have any hotspots to share? PM me if you have some general tips- I'll figure it out from there.

You may try asking shockley32 about this lake he lives just South of it and from his post he fishes it a lot.
