    Default Wax worms

A local bait shop owner asked me this morning where he could purchase wax worms in bulk for his store. I have never used waxworms and have no idea where to get them. Can anyone come up with a name or web address? Thanks

Try www.grubco.com ... when they have them in stock, they run $12/500 or $23/1000 (or can be purchased in 50/ct for $1.50/carton - minimum of 12cts per order). Click on the "Talk to Us" link ... and direct your questions to Dale Cochran. Dale is a great guy, and easy to deal with. Tell him I sent you (or at least mention this site).

Compare prices between Cabela's & Grubco ... and you will find that Grubco's wax worms run about 2-3cents each --- Cabela's runs 7cents each. (comparison made without S/H costs added). Cabela's says there's a 1-2week delivery wait ... Grubco ships on Mon/Tue/Wed only, but only take a day or two to arrive.

When I checked the Grubco website, they were currently out of stock on wax worms ... so check with Dale, to see when they'll be available.

    ... cp

ps - forgot to mention that Grubco is also a site Sponsor !!

Vados Bait is another good source. I have ordered a lot of bait from them over the years.
