Spring.

Couldn't wait for it to get here and all it's been is cold high water, mud, cold fronts every three days and lousy fishing.

Hmmm, sounds a lot like last spring, and the one before that and......

We all get cabin fever in the winter and long for the warm sunshine and gentle breezes of spring, spawning fish in every bush... and then we wake up and realize that spring fishing can be some of the best and worst of the year.
More worst than best.

I caught more fish in Feb. than I did in March. What I really long for is the good stable fishing of summer, fall and winter. FORGET SPRING.

See ya, I'm going to the lake to catch some spawning slabs.

Catch a few for me. Got weather that came through again early this morning. Dang muddy water everywhere. I did catch some decent LMB yesterday in muddy water so maybe things are looking up or the fish are just getting used to it... LOL.

Hope you catch alot. The bottom has dropped out of the bucket here again. They're saying rain next 2 days, followed by 2 days of snow.Weird cause its been in high 70's to lows 80's last 4 days here......The calm before the storm I suppose

Right on. I have sure enjoyed times while winter fishing were one can go out and hammer the crappie for a couple months at a time.
I also find the spawn fish rather frustrating one day they are easy and the very next day I can't catch them.

And thats why i'm glad i took up icefishing. I get my fix before i get frustrated by this crazy spring weather. Gonna wait till may before i make my yearly spring trip to Ky lake.

Also winter fishing. No wave runners or not as many as summer time. And not a bunch of people out playing on the water.
No bugs.. Come to think of it. I also like winter time better also.

This spring has been the worst i have seen in years, we went out today and it was miserable, windy cold and wet. Someone throw a fish at me, atleast then i would have a chance

Although any fishing is good fishing, I agree - I'm always glad for
the spawn to be over.

My home lake has went from 10 feet low a month ago, to 30 feet high 2 weeks ago, to normal summer pool today. The water has been muddy for a month now, and finally started to warm this week pretty well. Tomorrow? 40 degrees, windy and cold. Sunday? SNOW!!!! What the heck is wrong with the weather this "spring"?
