Default Great Weekend For BIG Slabs

Guys, all the stars aligned for me this weekend or something and we hammered em! I caught these in a 100 acre gravel pit, so I want to point out I wasn't on a public waterway, WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :DI had a blast! Check em out.

Friday me and a buddy caught 47 Keepers (over 10")

Sunday we caught 22, with the smallest one 1.4lbs!!! All slabs!
    Man I needed that.:D

Awesome!! Way to go!! Them sand pits really can produce some super fish if you have permission to go there. When you do, there's no holding back!

    AWWWWWW Man it was!

This is a gravel pit that is around 100 acres. The pit itself I'm told is around 60 years old. It gets replenished by a river that runs less than 50 yards thru the woods when it floods every other year or so. I have been fishing there since I was 17 years old and I am 35 now, dang time flies!

We caught them all on a 9ft Sam Heaton Super Sensitive tite lining in around 11ft of water. They were holding around 7ft down near gravel humps out in the middle. Black and Chartruese jigs with a chartruese head. Nothing like that thump!:D
