White out little bottle 79 cents also works good a night fishing
I cut a piece of floresent orange electric tape the length between my rod guides and wrap it around the rod long ways and smooth it down. I do this on the first 2 gaps from the tip between the guides (about 10"). I also put a glass bead on my line between the 2nd and 3rd guides from the tip. When I'm spider riggin and look'n the other way I hear a pecking noise when a rod gets hit! I also put a wrap of yellow tape on my rods at 1' and 2' from my reels. If I need to go 1' deeper I pull to the first tape. If I need to go 2' I pull to the second tape. Works well for me.

I spray a white layer of plastic paint then a florescent orange topcoat. It still fades over during year and I refresh it in the Spring.

Yes the plastic coat paint from wal-mart does good just have to hit again about once a year I like white works good in most lighting condition.

Not sure about spider rig poles but for nightstalking I wrap a piece of black electrical tape around the rod to keep it professional looking and spray about 4" of the tip of the rod (and the end eye) with Walmart "flat white" paint. Works great for night fishing to help see the lite bites you get.
