    Hi guys....
Have been lurking recently and decided to take the plunge. I haven't been able to scratch that itch....work and the weather have been keeping away.

I live next to Hillsdale and returned to the ranks of boat owner. I traded a extra deer rifle for a 12' Richline boat. Have coverted my transom mount Minkota to a bow mount cause there wasn't enough room after adding a little Mecury outboard. Have installed the fishfinder and am almost ready. The outboard needed some work so I have had Joe put a new water pump on and change the plugs.....started on the 2nd pull last Sunday.

I have read the various threads for Kansas and look forward to exchanging posts with y'all.

I'm formerly from Nebraska and still love husker football. Even though it has been tough for about 10 years now....I have to admit, the Jayhawks know how to play basketball and enjoy watching them play.

I'm trying to learn turkey hunting but would rather stomp the cornfields and draws up home for pheasants...there are plenty of deer around and l like to hunt them as well. I have a couple of labs..I think the 2 year old is gonna a be a good waterfowl dog cause he is way to fat like me to chase pheasants.

I have fished Hillsdale and LaCygne with my old boat but that has been 4-5 years ago. Without giving anything away, can anyone tell me how deep and what kind of structure you are fishing?

Anyway hope to scratch the itch on Sunday as my honey-do list will keep me busy Saturday

    Welcome AntiochBA

I consider Hilldale my home lake but have not had any luck there this year. I was out there yesterday and only managed one legal and one short. I was able to mark fish on the graph all day but they weren't interested in my offerings. The legal crappie at Hillsdale ,for me, generally seem to be the slender ten inchers and not the chunks like in Melvern, Perry or Toronto.

It sounds like Springhill duckman has had some luck out there. I was hopeing he would jump in with some info but totally understand why he wouldn't. Hillsdale being so close in to the KC area where folks will flock in hearing the bite is on and they are quite proficent at finding fishermen as opposed to being able to find fish.

    Anyhow good luck out there.
