Almost everyone uses the Bandits in 200 or 300 series....don't do it much myself.

Bandit 200 and 300 series when I troll. I catch crappie and walleye later on in toward the end of spring with them. If I am going to cast, I really like the Tiny Rap Rattle Traps (lipless). I have caught more Crappie casting small lipless than any other. Hope that helps.
Caught so many fish today my thumb is sore from clicking the counter.

I will have to second that, the small lipless cranks are deadly, use them more than any plastic. Dont hear about a lot of folks throwing them, but they work great.

The consensus seems to be that you will catch many more white crappie than black crappie with crank baits. I fish a lake that has only black crappie and have only caught 5 while pulling them. Every Mid-West Crappie Show that I have watched that was on the subject of pulling crank baits had the guide pulling in almost exclusively white crappie.

BPS has some new 1 1/2" cranks called micro lights that go for 2 bucks. I bought a couple a few weeks back but haven't tried them yet. Once I do, I'll post how they work for me. Most folks that post about trolling cranks for crappie, almost always talk about bandits.
