Going to ask dumb question
What does Yo Yo have to do with fishing??????
Maybe I will learn something.
I was asked by an Alabama fishing buddy if Yo Yo's are legal in Alabama and if so, what are the regulations on them. He fished with me in Arkansas and was intrigued by them and is wanting to try them on his home lakes. I live in Alabama bust mostly fish in the Arkansas/Mississippi Delta where they are legal ( can have 30). Can anyone give me the scoop on using them in Alabama waters please? Thanks.

No jug fishing is different. Yo-yo's are tied on to a limb and when the fish hits it pull them up like a yo -yo. Only thing is alot of people leave them up and fish are left to die and hooks are left dangling and get in other people's way. In all i don't like them, if you want to fish use a pole and feel the bite, Hell ain't that the reason people fish is to actually catch the fish. JMO though!!:o

They are called Limb Lines here in Ky. Used mostly for catfishing.

Legal or not, that's not fishing. That's meat hunting. No offense to anyone, but I'm with bigpun on this one. Just doesn't seem very sportsmanlike to let a tree branch and a spring do the work for ya.
