    check out these pics from saturdays trip. i caught this flathead on a minnow under cork on 6lb test line, light rod & small spinning reel. it was around 40 inches long and felt at least 40lbs. it ripped off a half a spool of line a couple times before she finally started to wear down. we got her in took a few pics and chunked her back in. cell phone pics didn't do it justice.
    oh yeah, we wound up with a few crappie too.
    look how dark these males are turning.
