Someone show me how to crappie fish!

Guys, I have tried to learn to catch slabs, but most of the areas I fish have very few. I go on vacation the week of April 14th, and if some generous soul will take me out to get some crappie, I'll be forever grateful. I'll buy the minnows, lunch and split outboard fuel costs. Help an idiot out, c'mon
