It seems East Fork, Caesars Creek and many other Ohio lakes are flooded and might be that way for a few weeks to come. How do the crappie react to the added depth? And how do you fish for them in mid-40 temp, muddy, and flooded? My 20-ft deep structure is now in 35-40 ft.

I would look for the clearest water available and probably would look to the shallower cover as a starting place. Maybe 3' to 5', especially if the sun is out. If nothing happens there, move out to beeper water. There I would fish one rod deep and one rod shallow.

I am going to Piedmont tomoorow flooded or not. I need to go fishing!! Most of the lakes around here are about 3 ft above summer pool. I will look for some slabs but hope to do some saugeye fishing too.
