I am not trying to offend you, but this morning I thought the same thing and it turned out they we Bradford Pear trees. Are you sure they are dogwoods?
Just over night, the dogwoods are starting to bust out everywhere down here. Won't be long now.

I agree I would be glad to just see anything bloom, I am so ready for spring.

Being a Ozark Ridge Runner, and with 77 years of watching dogwoods bloom. The dogwoods are not blooming now, it's the wild cherry trees. Dogwoods don't bloom until April 28th.
I haven't seen any thing bloom yet at LOZ.
The Redbuds bloom about a week before the Dogwoods. Redbuds were in bloom up here this time last year and the Dogwoods bloomed about the 4th of April, then everything got froze the night of the 4th. We had a real warm March and the water temp. on March 28, 2007 was 62-64 degrees and today it was running 52-55 degrees. Hopefully things will progress a little slower this year in a more normal pattern and fishing will be good.
