Default For Rookies and old timers

This forum has a wealth of information from all the knowledgeable people.

It can be over whelming for the new & old members.
So I started saving info that gleamed from the post plus info found on the internet, using a cut and paste method. Many times even have pictures in the note book.

It may not look like much here, but in my note book have up 26 pages of notes and pictures, for fast references, jogging memory etc.

Broke it down into categories for fast reference. There are (4) samples of notes in RED below of this partial post for my note book. The articles are more in depth then what is shown here.

    Live Minnows
The most popular way to catch Crappie is probably through the use of live minnows. Most anglers use a size 4 or 6 hook, hook it through the minnows back, place this live minnow under a bobber and fish for Crappie. Although this technique works, there are better ways to present you live minnow to the fish. PARTIAL NOTES FOR THIS Category

    GENERAL RULES FOR SELECTING COLORS
    1. In clear water, use clear jigs.
    2. In dark water, use dark jigs and dark combinations of colors.
    3. If it's muddy, use dark jigs.
One pro said, "In clear water, we put on white and chartreuse, green and chartreuse, and red and chartreuse. In muddy water, we use black and browns tipped with a minnow."

Nice! Add in your fishing log and you've got a set of documentation that is deadly for our little speckled friends. Is this all in electronic format (like Word) so that it could be shared with others? Like jaxsprat, I think something like this would be great to give the kids/grandkids to go through - especially during the winter so they're well armed come spring.

Well, in that case.... I'll wait until us "yankees" get to a point where we can get boats on the water for a while, then I'll likely send a PM to hit you up for a copy. Should be at least 50 pages by then (we got snow coming in tonight).

I do the same. I must have about 35 pages plus drawings saved in word. Shoot me a PM. Perhaps we can email each other what we have. Let me know.
