    Default Rookie dock shooters

    Hello,
I am a rookie dock shooter but I really enjoy it thanks to info from fellow crappie.com folks. Anyway, for other folks that are thinking about trying dockshooting, here is a shot of a dock that I caught some fish on a couple of weeks ago. You can get an idea about where you might have to shoot your jig. The fish were about 15 to 20 feet under the dock from the edge. The only place that I could catch any was the one spot shooting from the side of the dock.

That is an outstanding looking dock to shoot. Down here in TX, we have a lot of docks such as that, and they all hold fish. Good luck on your shooting.

    Default Shootin

I friend of mine from Wichita KS showed me how to shoot many years ago. It's a technique I've used to catch many fish in areas that "most" fishermen can't reach. Welcome to the club! Tight Lines!

Cant get that lucky here. 98% of our docks are floaters with 4-18" to work with side to side and a 12" vertical to get through. Good looking spot with a lot of shade

Here is a good vid from Mr. Crappie.

I actually learned how to hold the jig while shooting. At least he says to hold onto the head of the jig and not the hook.

    Check it out.

Not me, LOL. :D I'd stick myself the first time doing that.
Good looking place to shoot, too, BTW.
