Bear Creek

I have been wanting to take a trip down to Bear Creek on Pickwick but keep hearing that the fishing is real slow down there. Anybody got a report?

You'll probably get more answers if you post this on the mississippi forum. I was fishing there a couple of weekends ago and there were probably 40 boats out there.

I saw quite a few crappie being caught and most were spider rig fishing. I looked pretty pathetic out there with one zebco 33 in my hand. I just installled a spider rig setup on my boat and plan on fishing there this weekend. I also talked to an old man and his grandson at the boat ramp and they said that they had caught around 100 catfish that day.
