    Default Crappie Fishing in Arkansas

Fished Lake Greeson for the first time in a month and did pretty well this morning - best trip in several weeks.

They hit real well early about 14-feet deep on Rosy Red minnows over brush piles on points in about 20-feet of water that dropped into much deeper water.

Bad news is that this afternoon we couldn't get a keeper to bite anything at any depth.

    Hi Jerry,

Do you ever fish Ouachita? My fishing bud and I are ridding our bikes up this morning, and thought about trying the upper end for some crappie fishing.

Those Rosies really do the trick don't they. I've been fishing them since Billy came out with them. Just picked up 3 pounds yesterday......

    Hey Tommy,

I don't get up to Ouachita much - don't guide up there at all.

You should be able to find a few crappie looking for a boat ride. Better hit them early though - it was slow again this morning but we started out with a double - one 15-incher and the other close to 14. It was downhill from there.

Let me know how you guys do up there.

    Gotta love them Rosies!

    Thanks Sid,

Couldn't do it this morning - only kept 6 and a couple of them we only kept because they swallowed the hook.
