Default I Must have violated the Board Rules of Conduct

After reading some of the responses and PM's let me make one small correction to my original post.

NO ONE HAS SAID ED MOSES WAS UPSET WITH ME. I HAVE NOT EVEN HEARD FROM ED ON THIS MATTER!
I AM JUST QUOTING THE RULES OF THIS BOARD FOR OTHERS who take offense to my posting fishing and jig tying videos on this board! I was paraphrasing what the Board rules were to educate others when possible!

I had several PM's from individuals crapping about my posting of "How to" videos I found that will help others catch more crappies.

This morning before Easter sunrise service, I made a post reminding all about the owner's rules that we should be about the business of educating others about crappie fishing.

When I got back from church this afternoon, I see all these posts saying that Ed has a beef with me or words to that effect. Nothing is farther from the truth. I just want to let people know what the rules of the board were. I have since modified that post to make it more clear.

Crappie.com is a FAMILY oriented “Teach a person how to fish” web site, that any age fisherperson can visit. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showthread.php?t=28127

I must have violated the Board rules of conduct because many of my posts are "Too informative" and stop people from their livlihood. I guess I should not be teaching people how to tie a basic crappie jig, or giving diagrams on how a simple slip float rig looks like. I should not have posted all the fly tying videos or all the videos on You Tube on how to troll, how to drop shot, how to dock shoot or the other 576 videos that are in that thread http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showthread.php?t=60924 to help individual beginners on this board. This is what I posted in case you missed it.

These are excellent videos. I hope it helps somebody catch one more crappie than they have been catching. Happy and blessed Easter to everyone.

Yes I have been criticized for posting this information so that others do not have to hunt for it. http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showthread.php?t=49489

QUOTE BY REDTIC "I wonder if the guy that posted these videos violated any copyright laws? I bet some did and I wonder why YouTube lets them broadcast.
I make videos and I wouldn't want folks violating my copyrights. On the otherhand, I do plan to post some crappie fishing video clips for the public.
I see that some of them were posted by the folks that own the rights to the videos. I admire the folks that posted them. I have seen some others that are questionable. Some by folks I know are members of the this board."

I have been criticized for posting this information because others make a living out of selling some of this information on DVD. I guess I was wrong to think that "If I help others, it makes this a better website and helps us all learn something we might not have known or known where to look for it.

My best friend on this board asked me to "Ponder" about helping so many others instead of making them look for it themselves. Well, I have pondered and revisited the board rules. This is a "Teach a person how to fish website" and that is what I tried to do. I challenge anyone to go back and look at "Who Mentored You? http://www.crappie.com/crappie/showthread.php?t=39157 It seems as if everyone of us on this board was helped by SOMEBODY along the way.

Now, having said all that, consider it "PONDERED" by me. I'll judge whether to post again based upon your responses to my poll question above. There are times when I know others have appreciated information from me. http://www.crappie.com/gr8vb3/showthread.php?t=57968 If I stepped on anyone's toes or overstepped any boundary, then I am truly sorry.

I enjoyed the Crappie fishing videos ! I guess they need to sue Youtube for copyright violations , but there are allot bigger fish to fry for Youtube than a few fishing videos . Pun intended .

    Default helping

I really do not understand what this is about but if you where just answering a question or telling someone how you do something I do not see what the issue is. A couple of years ago I did not know crap from crappie and have learned a great deal from this site from having questions answered and now I am able to return the favor for newbes. I do not know if I ever read any of your posts but if that was all then keep it up I'm sure someone was thankfull.

I didn't see the thread or posts that got Mr Ed upset with you, so I have nothing to vote on. I don't read your threads because like several others they seem to be promoting your stuff to much for ME. As far as all the video links, I have slow dial up and can't open them anyway. The only dealing I've had with you was when you backed a person on here that was totally wrong in a matter and you didn't know the whole story and didn't even ask. I guess what I'm saying is since I don't know the whole story, I'm behind Ed since I got on here for crappie fishing and he allows me to participate on here for free. I think if you have a problem with him, then you need to work it out with him and not air it out for all the sympathy votes and try to stir up the whole board and cause hard feelings between a bunch of the members. If I'm totally off base with all this, then I will apologize. I don't really understand what you're trying to do.

I understand the rules,Being that this site does belong to ED It is 100% his call what ever action he may take.
Don't think we are getting the full story here. Ship this is not saying you are wrong & I do enjoy your post very much,But I think we have just heard one side of the story.

I only see your side of this and not Ed's side. This is Ed's site, his rules and I am glad he has it. I think this should be between you and Ed. This site is to share info. and some people also make a little money from it so just be glad we have a Crappie.Com....Dennis

Did Ed say something about your posts? I am not sure what is going on, but if we can not help each other then why are we here? This isn`t a market place, though jig tyers and guides are a big part of the site. If it pertains to crappie fishing then it should be allowed! Unless you are taking a copyrighted video and posting it? What is the other side to this story? Someone please explain!
