    Does any one have any tips for fishing high and rising water. Fishing marktwain lake, mo., lake just jumped 13 feet in the last few days.

    This time of year, I'd fish the newly flooded brush in a stillwater area. Anywhere the sun can warm the shallow water.
    Do gooder since April 26, 2009!

    Fast rising water fish the inside edge of trees fast fall fish the outside edge. Thats what I have learned fishing Mississippi River oxbows.

    agreed with all the above also my best places in high water are along the weed lines and in very small feeder creeks {tributaries} in the back water from floods slabs love it
    is that a bite...YEAH FISH DONT HAVE HANDS

    I Fish in the flooded areas..5-6 ft. deep. I think the high water flushes out all the bugs and worms from the ground (previously un-flooded) The Crappie love to savor the slower moving bugs and worms..

    It looks as though southern IL and IN. are totally flooded....

    KY lake above summer pool also..
