And that's what the hi-tek ColorSelector chooses a large % of the time in this mudhole. But, Blue just don't don't give these fish the munchies.......at least for me. Rarely does blue stay on my pole long. If the black/chartreuse doesn't do the trick, it ususally green/chartreuse or red/chartreuse.........and yep, sparkle helps.

Last week, in the muddy water on Big Sandy, we got most fishes on minners. Ky rigging. Dim fish were bottom dwellers.

Black/chart, Junebug/Chart, Blaze orange/white, Hot pink/white work best for me on muddy days. CF

Hope to give you one of these next week. They're hangin' up to dry. I always put a drop or two of crazy glue where the tube meets the jig head. Keeps 'em from falling down:

Most of the lakes I fish are kinda muddy. The best colors of jigs that I make are black/silver/chartreuse and chartreuse/blue/chartreuse. Then sometimes anything in shad color is good.

My favorite for muddy water is Yellow/White. Sometimes DarkRed/Black & Black/White does the trick. I always use scents, a heavier jig, and add a couple of glass beads on the line to help the fish hear and smell their way to the bait.
