Default Barbed or Unbarbed Jig Heads

What is your preference? I have friends who swear by the round head without a barb. They super glue their grubs. I am getting ready to order some off of Crenshaw and he has both. I was gonna get some 1/16 with #4 and #2 sickle hooks and some 1/8 with #2 sickle. Do I need some 1/32? What size hook?

i throw a 1/24 oz almost all the time. if i didnt have them i would throw a 1/32. i only throw a 1/16 if it is really really windy or if the fish are over 25 ft deep. but i guess its personnel preference. i use a #4 hook but if i could find some #2's in light wire i might pour some of them . good luck and good fishing.

I used to live in the Cullman area. Have in laws in the Hanceville area. We used to spend a lot of time on Smith Lake. I actually rode across the area where the dam is in a pickup some 50 years ago. Caught a lot of Spots there!

If I ever used soft plastic I would want the barbed heads, but to tie I don't want even a collar, Nada!
