What do you do when you get home, clean the fish, and realize the garbage man isn't going to come for another 5 days????? That stuff can really begin to stink in the trash can.

During the cold months it's not too bad. I wrap mine in newspaper and put them in a plastic bag but there's really not much you can do if you have to put them in your own garbage can.

Bury em in your garden if you have one... You'll love what fish can do for your tomatoes..

LOL... 1st off save the eyes as I have read it is awesome crappie and brim bait. And to solve the next issue... triple or quadruple bag the remains and drive to the nearest place that has a dumpster and toss it in and go home.

there was an old man that used to come around and look in everyones trash can to see if there was anything good in there. One hot summer day about 3 days after I went fishing he decided that he wasn't going to look in my can anymore. I also started taking them to a dumpster across town and disposing of them if it was still a few days before the trashman came.

I live out in the country too. Several acres.
I think these buzzards see my boat come home and wait on me to clean the fish.

Put them in an untied WalMart sack and throw them in the dumpster of the dorm across the street. Works best in Summer.

Drive back to the water and feed the remains to the fishes. And I don't mean at the dock for all to see and smell. Other than that I agree with Earnest, wrap in plastic bag and put in the freezer until garbage day.
