    Default Cleaning boat carpet

Anyone have a good tip on fluffing boat carpet. I talked to a guy who adds fabric softner to water in a spray bottle, sprays the carpet then rubbs it. He says it brings the fluff back. I was wondering if anyone of you have tried this or have another suggestion. Thanks

Vehicle carpet cleaner with the stiff brush works depends on how many catfish and drums been on it.

Take it to the car wash and hit with the spayer. Get it soaked down and then spray in one direction. It will "fluff" right up. No rubbing required. I don't do it all the time but maybe once a month during the heavy fishing season.

Come on Clint do you actually catch enough fish to even worry about "fluffing your carpet". LOL. I guess we just need to fish out of a real boat and leave yours in the barn. Mine you can just spray out with the water hose and your good to go. Just kiddn.
I can't wait for Grenada. I think we should just take your new boat and get that good crappie slime on that new carpet.

I have a pontoon boat and a sticksteer; both are carpeted. I own a small pressure washer that does a good job. The toon boat has an persistant algae problem. I have noticed it comes back more if I don't do a good job of washing river sand out of the carpet. I mix a little bleach with a good boat wash and it kills it for a while then I rinse it with clear water from the pressure washer.
I did a thread a couple of summers ago titled "Green Stuff". If it is still here try a search. There was some good poop on it.

I always hesitate to use anything that might introduce un-natural scent. The car wash sprayer on plain rinse works good for me.

I use the pressure washer method. Makes carpet look as good as new. spray a little carpet cleaner on the tough spots, let them soak, and wash them down. Works well for me.
