Default Whats the Skinny on Line?

    Braided, Mono or Floracarbon?

Hi Vis, Florescent, Dark Green, etc?

    Clear water lines?

    Murky water lines?

Night Fishing Lines with black lights?

    4 lbs, 6 lbs, 8 lbs, 10 lbs?

I need help. I am using braided line mostly for when I get hung up I can pull the jig hook straight without breaking off. What types of line do you guys use in the different scenarios that you fish?

Yes, the interest in line never ceases to amaze me. It's got to be one of (if not the) most popular subjects in the history of crappie.com. Search the archives, and just pick one. I can assure you that just about any of the well-known brands will be fine for crappie fishing.

Note to newer members: if you have a rod/reel/line question, search the archives first. Chances are your question has been covered MANY times.

I use braid, jt uses an40, andre uses spider mono. there are so many good choices out there, just stick to 1 your'e comfortable with. It does help to use a popular mfg co.

Vicious Panfish is the way to go in my opinion. I used this line this week end for the first time and I loved it. It is a floracarbon line that is very smooth and durable. I will be using it as long as they make it.
