    Question Have/had experience with this?

Have a chance to purchase one of these used.

Never had experience or saw one up close.
Been reading up on reviews pros and cons.

My question being sitting that high up, rowing problems?

Would be using for small lakes, hauling it around mostly by myself. 91 lbs.

Best thing to do with one of those would be to mount a trolling motor on the front or on the back. Other wise I would go to the store and check one out in person. BPS has them.

I wouldn't row it. I'd slap a trolling motor on there. For rowing, I'd rather have a kayak or a pontoon.

I'm sticking with my float tube.

A friend of mine has one and he has a small trolling motor on the back probly a 30lb or smaller. We would take it to small lakes and ponds to fish out of it seemed to be pretty stable with two of us in it you didn't want to be standing up doing dance fever moves in it but it got the job done. he still fishes out of it all the time. Just my 2 cents.

    Good Luck and Good Fishing.

Spent a lot of time in one of them 25-30 years ago.......loved it. Yep, they're a small water craft. Like it's been said, a small t-motor on the front works like a champ. I've wished I still had it many, many times for certain hollows and creeks in the big water.

my friend has had one of these for years, he is on his third one now. three years ago he finally talked me into getting one, i love it , battery in back, trolling motor in front, jigging stick from grizzly gig, the only way to go on a small lake , pond or river. we both have boats but you cannot beat these things on small water.

I used to have a Bass Hunter that was great for small lakes and ponds. Tried it once in the back of Jonathan Creek on KY Lake and decided quickly that it wasn't designed for big water. I used a small, probably 20 pound thrust trolling motor on mine and it was great. It would float in very shallow water and allowed me to get thru log jams and into untouched places. I've been eyeing them again for double duty as a lay-out boat for duck hunting rice fields. You would be best served by one that was designed for 2 people.

That boats works great and is very stable for its size. I have used fishing small ponds and river bottoms. Also works pretty good in and standing corn and buckbrush duck hunting. If you are wanting something to row I would probably go with a fishing kayak or canoe.

ther is on on craigs list for sale, it sounds like a nice one, has a good pic. mine is a nine footer, my friends is eight, if you don't want to get it all in your pick up bed the extra foot is nice for two people. good luck.
