Not sure why I think up some of the crazy things I do (guess I should consider the source). So for one time in honor of 2 or three of you all that say: Details Man, Details - well here goes.
Left the dock at 8:10 am with an air temperature of 40 degrees
Fished till 1 PM and the air was up to 61 degrees
Water temperature ranged from 48-50.3 degrees
Clarity is approaching normal for the upper Big Niangua
Baromerter was 29.83 and falling (when I finished up)
Wind ranged from 0 - 10 out of the ENE
Lake Level is 657.01 up 0.07 from yesterday.
Fished out of an Alumacraft 18' with a 90 hp Yamaha on it
Used a Shimano Spirex 1000 rear drag
Spooled with Mr Crappie Hi Vis Yellow 4# test
BPS Bionic Blade 6' rod in Med Light action
Cherokee weedless jig head painted red in 1/16 oz
2" BPS Tri-Color Crappie Grub in Firetruce color
White Crappie Nibble
Fished water from 18' deep down to 7' deep and hit crappie on each spot
Pitching jig and letting it fall back to me - up over the limb and let it fall
Total catch 38 crappie
Total keepers 11
Largest 2 went 11" each
Rest was legal up to the largest ones
Darn, I forgot what coordinates I fished
Thanks for putting up with me, just had to do the details one time in detail
Hope everyone has as much fun this weekend hunting crappie as I did this morning.
