Nice Catch and great job!
I know we don't have the numbers of Crappie in Maryland like you guys have in the south, but I can catch um in the winter pretty good. 38 degrees this morning. Water had 1/2" of ice on it last week.
I went out for a few hours this morning shooting docks with some of my new MidSouth tubes and my old faithful BassAssassin. The BA outcaught the tube today, but I think the tube got the bigger fish. Only my 2nd time out trying dock-shooting my 5 1/2' Wally Marshall rod (as recommended by Ernest) and it works great. I used to sidearm the baits under the docks, but this dock-shooting is alot easier on the elbow.
The board those fish are laying on is 10.5" wide just to get an idea of size.
The last pic is how I "Customized" my Carolina Skiff for Crappie fishin.
Gotta go heat up that oil!

Nice Catch and great job!
It's not a passion! It's A very bad obsession!
Nice mess of slabs there! Were these all just docks, or boathouses etc?
Do gooder since April 26, 2009!
Just plain old docks. Probably about 40' long and 6' wide. We don't have many boat houses around here. Also the water is only 6-8' at the deepest.
Not sure how well this photo will show up, but here is an overhead shot (from google) of the docks that I fish. It's kinda like a canal.
It's only about 50' wide between the docks. As you can see most of the boats are kept on lifts, not under houses.
Until I reread your post, I thought you were saying those crappie were 10.5 inches. I thought " Man they gotta be bigger than that" LOL. I bet that is a nice boat for dockshootin {lots of room!}
Nice catch. What's the web site for the overhead. Need that for south La.
Thanks
Crappiecrazy - most of the fish were between 12 and 13". Very "thick" fish. On the digital they weighed between 15 oz and 1.1lbs.
Boat does have lots of room. It originally had a factory deck that went across the top of the gunnels. I did like the idea of being up that high, or the possibility of kicking a rod off the deck. It's much more user friendly now.
Bayou Boy - Just go to google and then click on "maps". Search for your location and then you can zoom in. Once zoomed in click the "satelite" button in the top right corner of map. some regions "zoom" in farther then others.
nice looking fish nice boat to.
