    Default Boat Trailer Bunks

Weather has been bad and the boat needed cleaning so last saturday I washed the boat and as I was cleaning the under side of the boat I saw one of the bunks was off center of the bracket. Closer inspection I noticed the bolt was out and the board was rotten. I wouldn't have thought that a 4 year old trailer bunk would be rotten. I'm glad I caught it when I did or the next loading of the boat would have been a costly one. Frosty Helped me build new ones and got them on today. Thanks again Frosty for your help. Might be another thing to check on before your next trip to the lake.

That could have been ugly! I immidiately pictured a hole in the hull of my boat. Glad you found it before any damage was done.

Your right Pole Bender, don't think the fiberglass would have taken the hit to well.

I hope you used treated lumber. I had one crack at a knot in the wood

Yes and we also counter sunk the carriage bolt heads and fill the rest of the hole with liquid nails. Hope this makes them last longer.
