I know they feed better at night with a full moon because of the light.
How do the crappie bite during a full moon phase? I always herd 3 days before to 3 days after was a good bite. Is this true ?

I haven't noticed a lot of change in "the bite" during a full moon. It does make night fishing more enjoyable and it seems that the fishing picks up in the middle of the day rather than morning and evening during a full moon phase. In general though, I do try and plan my trips close to both full and new moons.
There is a website called jrwfishing.com, where you can subscribe to an email newsletter. When I signed up, they were giving away a free e-book on how the weather and moon effect fishing. It was an interesting read. since I'm limited in when I can get out on the water, I haven't been able to really put too much of it to the test, but a lot of it makes sense. Check it out and see what it does for you.
I have seen the bite completely shut off during the full moon. I like 2 or 3 days before and 2 or 3 days after a full moon. Before or after that are "normal" to me, but I usually won't fish on a full moon unless it falls on a weekend and I want to fish. Just my .02.
I experienced it both ways--awesome night bite and no no bite.My most memorable night of fishing happened on a full moon in Feb.
