Default 1st time going to High Rock for crappie...

Thinking about trying out High Rock this Wednesday for some crappie and maybe stripers. Been on it a couple times but never for crappie fishing. I have a map of the lake and would GREATLY APPRECIATE any help/direction anyone could give me. Have been catching a lot of nice fish on Jordan this year, but all this talk about High Rock has got me itching to try it out. It doesn't hurt that it's a little closer too. I live in Sophia so I will probably go 85 South to Hwy 8, unless I get some different instructions:p
    Thanks for any help,
    Mike

Troll Dutch Second Creek to start with then move to the mouth.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Hug structure in about 12 to 20 feet of water.

I like dutch second and Abbotts Creek. If you put in at Southmont (wildlife) go under #8, head up about halfway, look for a long line of docks on the right. Fish the bigger cove after the docks. Also go to the split, turn left, you will see Hollaway church bridge. Fish the left side to the first cut.
    Tight lines to everyone

    Default High Rock

I like Second Creek. It has bacome a go to area for me. I have yet to catch less than 30 a day out of there. Sat., they were in 202-25 ft. of water with bigger fish close to the bottom and keepers about 15 ft. down. Troll jigs and fish minnows close tot he bottom. They wanted blue/chartreuse for me Sat. and a few off of acid rain. Good luck!!!

Thanks guys. Waiting to see what the weather is going to do tomorrow before I decide what to do, but thanks again. Also are there any stripers in these areas. I got me a new shad tank and would like to use it if I'm going to be on the water. Getting ready for the Roanoke River.
