Default Bad Start to the year

So I'm backing out of my garage to go to BPS to get some things, look at my boat parked in front of my garage and notice someone stole by dad-gum prop! Stainless Steel to boot! Called the local cop shop and they sent out someone to get the info and see if others in my subdivision had any props stolen- He called back and a=said others were taken last year, but not recently.

Bruce Carp- what pitch prop do you run on your Aluma-Weld- and is that SS or aluminum? When going with aluminum, do you go UP in pitch to be equal to SS or DOWN in pitch? I know there is a difference between the two- due to flex of aluminum compared to SS. I think my prop was a 21 pitch but my spare is a SS 22" with a cup. I think they run about the same, but I was wondering if my boat was propped the same as similar rigs (17 ' Aluma-Weld H-51 with a 100 hp Merc.). About $350-400 is what I would estimate its worth

    Twainer,

If you know what kind of prop and pitch you had, you can go Iboats.com or Google stainless steel props and save yourself a bundle of $$. If you're lucky you'll catch something on closeout and save even more.

That's a bitch and I agree with Danny.
    Good Luck.

Sorry about your loss. A friend went out to charge his new boat battries and they were gone.
I guess those people don't have time to work, there to busy stealing other peoples property.
Fishing is always good. Catching is sometimes bad

That sucks! We had 2 guys busted here last winter that were trolling a jon boat around the waterfront here at night and popping off props and reselling them on Ebay. They were even marking the motor size and brand on them with a marker as they went along the boatlifts. Had rechargeable tools and everything!
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Don't forget to file a claim under your insurance policy for your theft claim. If you have property coverage on your boat it will be covered. Some homeowners policies will also have coverage for boat props, but both are subject to your deductible. Hope this helps.

I wish people would work as hard to be honest, as they do to be dishonest!

    Angry Bad Luck

    Brett

Stolen prop and a cold too. Sometimes a guy just can't catch a break.
Went to MTL Saturday so I know I had a prop then. Not sure about today.

    Better Luck
