Lake egypt report from 4/29

well, I guess they're not up shallow. Word was they had come up shallow late last week, and with the two days of warm weather, I had expected to find some trying to do it.......I think I made a strategic miscalculation, because I didn't realize how much rain they'd gotten, and how much the water had come up and was also flying back out over the spillway.......the locals I spoke with said things had been good until the big rain, and everything shut off afterwards. Hopefully the lake level will stabilize and the fish will try it again. I don't know the lake well enuff to have much success fishing deep, it seemed the locals were all fishing deeper, but it didn't appear to me that they were very successful at all.

I think I'm going to try it again, if anyone has any pointers, I'd take them.....this is the first year I've crappie fished the lake, and I've struggled two times out....
