I like them, have used them for years. I have broke several tips, but it was usually my fault. Good poles for the money.

I have use Buck's jig poles on many trips down in Arkansas fishing with Darryl and Jerry and I've got to say they are some nice rods. I landed a 9lb15oz striper on one of the eleven foot rods that had 6lb ande line with no problems. I have a few of the ten foot rods and like them very well.

Nice rods for jigging and whatever, just don't troll with them. They are listed in the catalog as a jigging and "light trolling" rod, at least they used to be. I trolled with mine a few times and broke a tip. Customer service at BnM told me they are not for trolling and didn't replace it under warranty. Maybe that was my fault for being honest. Shoulda said it broke on a big fish or something. I still love BnM rods though. I use the 10' Sam Heaton Super sensitive for everything but trolling and absolutely love it. It cost a little more than the BJP. If price is the main thing, can't go wrong with the Bucks.

It's a question of many opinions, and there are a lot of good poles out there. Personally, I've got five B&M 10' Bucks Jig Poles and one 10' B&M Custom Jig Pole.....a couple I've had since the early 90's. I've broken many tips, but that comes with the territory. They are excellant jiggin poles.....very sensitive. I'm just partial to the B&M product, not because it's a Mississippi product........but, because it's quality stuff.
