Default Do you give your fishing spots names?

I just wondered if everyone else puts names on their favorite fishing spots Mrs JJ and I have named several such as
    "camper cove"
    "Club Car Cove"
    "spider tree"

I know there are known names for spots on TRL - such as "jail house" and "school house".

Just curious - guess I have too much time on my hands today

JJ, I have a few of mine named.

Also I keep a fishing log, so I have a list of them numbered, so I can put in the number in my log, to save space.

Absolutely. My buddies and I fish at Bucksaw on Truman and have named every cove, creek, arm and spot that we've found over the last 20 years. That way, when we come into the fish cleaning station, we can freely talk about where we caught what, and noone else knows EXACTLY where we caught them. I'll always help anglers by identifying the pattern, but I hate to pull up to a favorite spot, only to find a couple boats tied up to it that day, and the next, and the next. . . Just ask Jiggin15, a cove that I named "Angel cove" back in 1983 is called Angel cove by alot of local anglers today. I named it that because, back then, going to we were going to Truman to catch bass. A guy strolled down the hill to the back of the cove with a fly rod and a spinning reel and started pulling out slab after slab in water not over two feet deep at the bank. I offered him a cold beer and told him I had some questions. He told me about the crappie, and I've been hooked ever since. We still refer to Frank Nichols as the "angel" who told us to crappie fish and put our bass gear away, and the cove will always be "Angel Cove" to me.
Jim - Have boat - will travel.

I was fishing with my girlfriend and spent too much time glancing in the direction of a woman who was fishing from a road that ended in the lake. The spot is now called "Bikini Road"
