Arrow How many Waders are out there

I just thought I would see how many other guys wade fish the spawn?

I love wading with a 12' jig pole around the stake beds.

One retired bonafide die-hard wader here. Did it for years when I was younger......thought it was the only way (and time of year) to fish.........just rather slow-troll and single pole out of a boat now.....

I wear my duck hunting waders and go at it... try to drag a stringer of fish behind me when I can.

As you might figure by my screen name, yes I am thigh deep in cold water several days each spring. I think part of the enjoyment for me is the simplicity of it. All you need is a simple rod and reel, a jig, and some waders. Yeah, I think it's a hoot!

Where at you wade fishing around stakebeds. Ky and Barkley? I was wondering about the "hardness" of the lake bottom. I would like to try it!

Sorry I haven't tried either one (Yet) I try to go all the way up into the creeks and wade there. A lot of times you will stumble acrss a bed that nobody can get to in a boat or cast too... It turns out to be a long day... But worth it.
If you wade make sure you have a wade stick... I have stepped off into a beaver run a time or two... Makes the trip back to the truck a cold one

I really like wading. I got some good spots when the water co-operates. Little high water is all it takes.

I spend more time in waders than in the boat. There are many places you can't fish in a boat but can put the waders on and have a blast. I don't have to drag a boat to the lake, stop and fix that blowout:D, wait in line to put boat in, load boat back on trailer, drag the boat back home and then charge battery for the next day.
