    Default Icebergs

Went yesterday 2-25 to a small so. In. public lake. It was about half frozen over. Still can't feel my feet. Caught 55 nice bluegills and 3 nice crappie. The fish were about 3' deep in 6' of water. Black/red #2 popeye tipped with a wax worm was working best. They were biting very lightly, just standing the float up. I missed a bunch.

Catdaddy, Salinda is back up and my info is that it's open to launch a boat. I'm not sure if there are any fish left in it or not. I was hearing 200 this and 250 that the last 2 years. I tried it last spring and didn't get a bite:rolleyes:

I love John Hay. Did not do very well last year with the water down, caught alot of short skinny fish. Althought the year before when the lake was up about 3 feet, fish submerged trees across from boat ramp near the creek, and spent the whole spawn fishing there, never fished another lake all spring. Loaded up the boat with crappie, bluegill, and an a large bass. Hope it will be the same this spring.
