    has anyone had any experience with corps of engineers lakes? do they normally let you put out condo's or other structure?

    I'd be interested as well - would like to put some out in Lake Lanier, but not sure about the rules.

    I think you are supposed to get permission, but no one ever does. I wouldn't go sink a bunch of tires or stuff like that.

    I talked to the man incharge for the Corp. @ Navarro Mills lake and his biggest concern was putting them close to the gates. He did not want them to get trapped under the gates when discharging water & putting enough weight to hold them down on the bottom of the lake....
    I know several guys that have put out tons of christmas tree in Navarro Mills with no problem....

    Make sure the Corp is your only conern. You might get the okay from them and then get a ticket from a ranger or game warden or somebody. I know here in Ohio on my home lake you are supposed to get permission from the local DNR officer. It is a corp run lake, but it is in a state park. Might be something to be sure of before ya sink anything.
