I think that most of use who fish the San Jacinto river system are used to catching large numbers of crappie this time of year. Am I the only one who isn't killing them? I have fished ever tactic and ever depth and I’m still only catching 5-10 fish ever outing. There is no consistency yet on their locations. I keep telling myself that tomorrow is the day they are going to turn it on and then there comes another cold front. Last year I caught fish all winter and then started catching spawning crappie in late Early March. I really haven't ran into anyone fishing near me that has caught more fish than I have, but I'm working double time to catch the few I have. Have I lost it or are you guy's experiencing the same thing.
