Fishing sucked (ie blowed)....
I didn't even try it and I didn't stays at the Holiday Inn. Wind up at 20 -30 mph.
Chilly outside. Ate a Bone Sucking Sauce sandwich just to get warm.
Fired up my Husky chain saw. This worked me into a lather.
Got some brush piles ready. This helped thin out the downed trees some. Got about a third of the trees trimmed back. Guess I will just throw it in the river to get it out of my yard.
I was gonna call a few folks, but I needed something to do. I finished painting ya know.
Got my "downed" yard security light back up and working.
I enjoyed my own company.
Life is good.

Your delima and some of the replies reminds me of why I sold a beach house when I lived in Texas. First of all, if I wanted to entertain, my neighbors all needed to crank up their skill saws and start hammerin. And likewise, if I needed to start cutting and hammerin, I was my own best freind too. No one had time to come down that weekend.
