Default No Drilling or welding required...Spider Rig

Well I have been though a lot of pics but I am looking to find out what you guys that don't want to drill or weld anything onto your boat have done. I have a 2008 190 Proteam tracker... I would rather not drill into it for a while.

Pictures would be great and what you are using so I can look at getting that setup if it work well.

I am probaly just going to set up for the bow for crappie fishing, then able to take it off for bass fishing.

    Default rod holder

This is the only portable spider rig that I know about. It should work fine. The grizzly jig folks are easy to deal with. I would ask I they would "take it back" if I did not like it. I have never used this type of holder but they are popular in the bait shops around Ky and Barkley lakes.

Does that just mount to the bow seat post? I think I like that. Looks like it is simple and doesn't take much space.

I think Bee Ready has some kind of an adapter that fits to your seatpost and lets you mount there rodholders without drilling,I saw it on there website.

Yes, it mounts to the seat post. The support that runs from the seat post to the holder is a piece of flat 1/4" metal about 4" wide. It should give it plenty of support.

    Default By the way

If you have never done any spider rigging, I would go a couple of times with someone who has some experience. I had a buddy that bought one of these rigs and took it out on the lake. He got 5 poles hung in a brush pile at one time! He got mad and took the rod holder off-threw it in Lake Malone.

    True story!

Only thing about those type.... they move alot. everytime you move in your seat it shakes the poles.

I have one like the one pictures above that I built. Not much to them. And just set it over the hole for the seat pole. Then sit the pole in the base. And tighten up a bolt.
If it will help, I will take photos of mine and what it takes to build one like it. Have 2 top parts for it.
One has the same as above and the other one has better ones on it.

IT adjust every way you can think of
