Default Fishing Buddy Needed to Fish for Slabs

    Fishermen,

I have my own skeeter fish/ski boat and need a buddy to show me the ropes of crappie fishing. I do pretty well at bluegills and bass and now have the urge to catch and eat some slabs. So if anyone is interested in hitting the lake this spring let me know.

I usually work mon-fri on 2nd shift, so the morning during the week is fine with me.

    twalt66,
See you are in Swartz Creek,i live in Mt. Morris & fish Holloway & Mott quite a bit.I know some spots if you ever want to hook up let me know.I have my own boat but i think yours is a little nicer,LOL.I just have a old 16ft Meyers with a 9.9 Merc four stroke, but she gets the job done.Let me know if you want to hook up.
I plan to star this year about 3-4 days after the ice is gone.

    tonyc,

Sounds like a plan. We can go anytime after the ice melts.

So Reelfoot...Dyersburg is 'bout 100 miles as the crow flies from Kentucky and Barkley lakes. Goin' there first week in April to try Barkley. Got any info on Barkley you wanna share? Have been keepin' tabs on the Kentucky forum site and have a couple of good leads. Mostly it's gonna depend on the weather and water temps.

if you ever want to come up to the beaverton/gladwin area i would be glad to show you some techniques i use from ice out to freeze up,,,there are at least a half dozen lakes within 20 miles of me that are loaded with specks, i usually work weekends but with a little notice i can get any day off,, you can send me a pm if interested,,hope to see you this spring,, may and june are definitely the best up here with mid to late may being ideal
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D
