I almost exclusively fish bodies of water that only have black crappie. I probably haven't eaten a white crappie since I was a kid. I'm curious to hear from those of you who eat both if you think there is a difference in taste and texture.

In the body of water I fish, has both, I think the blacks are a little better because the meat is a little more firm which I like. But that being said, I don't think the taste is any different, just the texture. I do believe that put up a better fight.
